Accessibility statement
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA across this website. If something does not work for you, tell us and we will help and fix it.
01Our aim
Everyone should be able to use this website, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. We design and build it to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the same standard we build for our clients.
02Accessibility options
Every page has an accessibility button: the round icon at the top of the page, the option in the mobile menu and the link in the footer. It opens a panel where you can:
- make the text larger (115% or 130%);
- switch on high contrast: brighter text, stronger borders and no moving background;
- stop animations, including the intro sequence and moving effects;
- use a plainer, more readable font with wider spacing;
- underline every link and outline every button;
- replace the custom cursor with a large, plain pointer.
Your choices are saved on your device only and apply to every page and language until you reset them. They work alongside your own browser and device settings, such as zoom and reduced motion.
03What we do
- Clear headings, landmarks and a logical reading order for screen readers.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Text and buttons meet colour contrast guidelines on our dark theme.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, or you choose Stop animations, the large animations switch off.
- Forms have labels, clear error messages and do not rely on colour alone.
- Decorative effects, such as the cursor and its light trail, are hidden from screen readers and never needed to use the site.
04Known limitations
- The free website check relies on Google's PageSpeed Insights; the results screen is designed to be accessible, but the underlying data comes from Google.
- Some animated sections can be demanding on older phones. Choosing Stop animations, or turning on reduced motion in your device settings, gives a calmer version.
- Translations of the site are new; if a translated page is unclear, please tell us.
05How we check
We test with automated tools, keyboard-only use and screen readers during development, in every language of the site. Automated tools catch only part of the possible problems, so we also review pages by hand. This statement was prepared on 21 October 2026.
06Report a problem
If you find a barrier on this website, email hello@studiowebdesigns.com with the page and what happened. We aim to reply within five working days and to provide the information in another format if you need it.
